This specialized rotomold is designed for mass production of hollow plastic rain harvesting barrels, garden rainwater collection tanks, agricultural rain storage containers, and environmental water recycling plastic barrels.

Product Overview

Fully customizable based on customer product design drawings, this rain barrel rotomold features a thickened high-density cast steel mold cavity with stable and uniform heat conduction. During rotomolding heating cycles, heat spreads evenly inside the cavity, ensuring consistent wall thickness of finished plastic rain barrels while eliminating common molding defects such as surface bubbles, cold lines, sink marks, and uneven wall thickness.

The integrated heavy carbon steel lifting frame with standard lifting lugs is welded with the mold cavity, facilitating overhead crane hoisting and installation on all shuttle rotomolding machines. Multiple stainless steel quick release clamps are evenly arranged around the mold parting surface for fast locking before heating production and rapid opening after cooling demoulding.

All inner and outer surfaces feature high-temperature resistant anti-rust spraying coating, capable of withstanding long-term repeated high-temperature circulation inside heating ovens without oxidation or deformation, while simplifying residual plastic cleaning after batch production.

We upgraded our old iron molds to these optimized aluminum rotational molds for vertical cylindrical water tanks. After engineering optimization, the mold heating uniformity is greatly improved, cooling time is shortened by nearly a quarter. Cylindrical tank wall thickness is even, no partial thin wall during rotomolding. Product yield increased obviously, we will purchase molds for more tank volumes later.
